Perhaps LFC was too |

Perhaps LFC was too harsh on catch-22, but the fact of the matter is that one should not go into IB if they seek a good lifestyle. Unfortunately, until one hits very senior levels (usually MD), one has to endure bad hours to survive in this industry. If you seek a good lifestyle, IB is not the career for you. On the other hand, if you don't mind socializing with your peers, then it's not too bad since you'll be with them at midnight 3-4 (if not more) of 7 nights a week.
Ellen, how do you feel about being apart from your husband during the week? Doesn't it take a large toll on your relationship, esp.
if you have to travel someplace else over the weekend for work. Do you think long-distance relationships work? If you are senior enough in the bank, perhaps you can call some of your own shots, but as an Analyst I doubt I would be able to tell my superiors that I want to be away every weekend to see my girlfriend. Your thoughts?
