What's your point...that they should hire law school grads as associates, but they don't? I'm confused. You refute anon's claim that i-banks are looking for people from good graduate schools (b & l-schools), then you ramble on about how good l-school is compared to b-school. |

this is the problem with mbas: they cannot understand rhetorical argumentation.
From a market perspective (fixed income trading and research) I prefer hard science phds from a good school with an mba even if it is from a lower ranked school. The important point is that such people prove they are somewhat intellectually open-minded, which is an essential professional quality in my opinion.
I do not hire jds but if I had to, I'd pick jd/mbas or jd/something else.
