With turnover (relatively) high in the investment banking industry, where to all the folks who quit go? i am especially interested in hearing what those who have done M&A and IPO work (rather than Sales and Trading)wind up doing if (when) they don't make MD. Do they do M&A or Corp Fin at a public company? Do they stay on the street? I haven't seen much on this board addressing this issue. Anyone out there with some insight?
