What about institutional eq's research? Better than banking and sales and trading? |

well, if you are a star you can obviously hit a homerun in eq research (like anywhere else).. but a)the hours there are much worse than s&t b) you are not an obvious profit center so you'd probably get pad on the number of deals you help bring with your research - bankers who execute those deals will get paid far more anyway..
plus it's a cubicle-based tedious and ungratifying experience at least for the first few years..
