What are the main IB groups that work in LA regional offices? Entertainment? M&A? Is there any tech stuff in LA, or is tech mainly in San Fransisco?

What's the difference between working for a smaller bank based on the West Coast (like H&Q) and working for the regional office of a BB (like MSDW)? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? What kinds of bankers work in each?
