Message: Chachi, You seem to know what you're talking about or you at least seem to be going on something you've heard or seen. However, I interviewed with the Boston office and though I didn't get an offer,I must point out that your info seems inaccurate--at least going from what I've learned while applying there. First of all, salary is 45K with 100% year-end bonus and I believe a signing between 6K and 10K. Also, you cannot expect such a small firm to be atop the league tables, but when you break it down in terms of productivity and deals per banker they are really superb. You might take the fact that the no. of analysts in the Boston office is currently being doubled as a sign that deal flow is not at all spotty. My impression is that I'd see more action there in six months than in 2yrs at the BB I've signed with. Maybe people were jumping ship a couple of years ago, but from what I hear and judging by the number of applicants from my school, a lot of people think they're really good. A lot of tech companies seem to feel the same way. I can see myself making the jump to a place like that in a year or so if NY doesn't do it for me.
