Go to www.commscan.com, click on League Tables, and then go to the appropriate table you wish to view.
To get an idea of efficiency, divide the $ value of deals done by the number of bankers. Then see why a firm like GS is more impressive than a ML or SSB in equity, etc. and why "boutiques" like Wasserstein (in M&A) and Robbie (in IPOs) are so much more impressive than most of the big dinosaurs. |

I agree w/ the revenue per banker model. It is why DLJ does limited amount of low-margin investment grade and does very well in hugh margin business (high-yield, M&A, equities). DLJ wins the revenue per banker race.
