I'm a psychiatrist in NYC and wanted to know what MD's typically do in IB. Is there a "need" for such expertise? How about specifically for a psychiatrist, a behavioral specialist with an MD?
What is the salary range, for specific positions an MD might be offered? |

I once heard of a psychiatrist who worked not in a line position but strategic staffing at an IB. he was responsible for coming out with interviwe questions that helped the interviewers evaluate whether the required traits and skills were present. for instance, i know he develops and runs a trading game as an assesment for future traders- theri personalities, risk tolerance, confidence, etc.
Also, he worked on developing good evaluation methods and criteira. It seems you are qualified for an organizational behavior job whihc means it will likely be in something as described above.
Most major IB will have something like this.
