In Reply To: engineer dude, you are right. but you are leaving out end of year bonus which is usually anywhere from 10-25k and once in a blue moon, even upto 40. however, people put in the hell hours now so that they'll have a better chance at getting an offer post mba when you get about 150k first year, 250k second, 450k third... etc. but the hours do suck.
Message: The post-MBA salaries for associates are astronomical given the young age at the bulge-bracket banks. But I heard that less than 25% of last years associates at Goldman had I-Banking analyst experience. In other words, 3/4 of associates were not analysts between undergrad and the MBA. So is it really a pre-req to have analyst experience, or is this information correct?-can a banker verify....thanks
