If you got a general offer from all of these banks where would you go? Where would most MBAs go?
1. Goldman
2. Morgan Stanley
3. DLJ
4. Lazard
5. Merril

there are so many different factors, it's strange to even try to rank banks in this fashion. anyways, who gives a crap? (besides some bank CEO trying to see where to add staff)
Someone might have a better experience at a firm less well regarded than at a firm generally better regarded.
You have to take each firm's culture, history, potential, the job they've offered you, location and so many other things into account. Sure, "Bob's Investment Bank and Chili Stand" isn't in the league of Goldman. But whether Goldman is better than Morgan, or Robertson is better than H & Q, or whatever - that's a tough decision everybody will have to make for themselves, not by looking in a table.
