I've been working in capital markets related areas in Ukraine for a year and a half and am looking to get into M&A or corp fin for emerging markets. FIrst, is this even possible for somone out of Bschool for 2 years? I have an MBA in Finance from a top 10 school, CPA, and speak pretty good Russian. Second, are any of the banks more known for their work over in this area? Thanks... |

Yes it is possible to get into IB. I was four years out of B-school when I joined an IB in Hong Kong. I had been in Asia for three years. A very large, emerging market bank is ING Barings. But, there are questions of whether or not the top management wants to keep going down that path. Also, check out Deutsche Bank, Warburg Dillon Read, JP Morgan and some of the others. Check out their web sites to look for offices in those markets. Good luck.
