I didn't get into a big finance b school like wharton, chicago, or columbia. I recently recieved letters of acceptance from University of Rochester and Georgetown University. If anyone out there can give me some insight into which school has a stornger program in finace it would be very helpful. I heard Rochester was good and it has a great faculty and if they were not in the middle of nowhere they could be a powerhouse in finance. I don't know how true this statement is, but if anyone has some advice for me you can e-mail. |

I don't recall the georgetown MBA program being all that well regarded. I think it may be strong for international business courses but not sure about quantitative finance.
Of course, the most important thing is recruiting. If the MBA program recruits like the under-grad program, i.e. all investment banks and top tier strat firms make a visit, then I'd go to georgetown over U of R.
Good Luck,
Joe Hoya
