Israel is becoming a hotbed for technology startups; quite a few people are opening offices there. Last good things that came out of the England area, technologically speaking, were the McLaren F1 and Psion PDAs. On the other hand, in the last year alone, Israel spawned 6 companies that were bought by AOL / Microsoft respectively. But you're right; you must know enough about everything that's going on in the world to pass judgement on anyone who doesn't have a swanky address.
