Extra curriculars do |

Hi, I am a second year student at a liberal arts college who wants to have a career in I-Banking. Academically, I am extremely hardworking and strong, however, I have little taste for social activities. I NEVER go to parties, NEVER get involved in ANY group or club on campus. None of the groups appeals to me and I think getting involved would be a waste of time. Will a 3.97 GPA and +700 GMAT get me an entry position in any I-Bank? Will they want a person who is willing and able to work but has no exposure to leadership or humanity? Do extra curriculum really count so much that it is worthwhile spending several hours a week to add another entry to my resume? Or does anyone think I will grow to like it once I force myself into it? Any advice will be much appreciated. |

Extra curriculars don't really mean that much, but seeming like a well rounded person does. Just make sure you do something that you can relate to people with. All the credentials in the world can't help you in an MBA admissions interview if the person can't relate to you.
On the whole, having a top GPA is probably a good priority at your stage.
Keep it up and good luck!!!
