Hi there!
I am interested in doing an internship in M&A in NYC. Does anyone know about the compensation of interns at e.g. GS, Merrill, DLJ, JPM etc.? And does anyone know of the reputation / working style etc. at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Icahn & Co.? What are the chances for an overseas student interested in M&A and diploma thesis on hostile takeovers but without prior internships in the banking area to get an internship in NYC?
