I'm an undergraduate from York's university Schulich School of Business. It was ranked 26th in the world by Financial Times London for best business school in the world.
1) I wrote my CPA in November, 2002
2) Obtained a BBA degree
3) Level 1 CFA Candidate
My question is............
I want to work in the US. (even volunteering!)
I just want to know if there is a chance that any firm from the States will hire a student like me. I understand I need a working permit, but are firms willing to offer me a job, even as a volunteer.
My resume is posted on
http://www.geocities.com/ekkeek/index.htm
If somebody could give me some insight to my resume, that would be great!!!!!
My email address is ekwok02@hotmail.com
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am no expert at these things but anyway...some things that need to be addressed riteaway in ur resume, as i did work in HR for some time
1) GPA is missing-- no one in US will look at ur resume without knowing how well u did in ur bachelors
2) Experience Section: seems a bit messy. You have to combine ur career history and experience as one so as to tell what you exactly did in what position
On a sobering note, this is not a good time to be looking for a job- paid/unpaid- in the us. There is too much paper work involved in getting a forein citizen to work and so it usually happens when the candidate is exceptional- and in this kind of an economy-- exceptionally exceptional or exceptionally lucky.
Best,
Oasis
