I'm writing a story for the San Francisco Chronicle about Internet company employees whose options have lost a significant chunk of their worth -- in some cases, possibly less than the strike price. If this is your situation, I'd like to hear from you: Does this mean you'll be quickly job hunting? Or will you hold on to see if they turn around? Have employees at your company asked executives about resetting the strike price to give the options value again? If you prefer to speak confidentially, that's fine. You can email me at csaid@sfgate.com or call 415/536-5112. I'll be out of town until Monday, April 25, so will get back to you. |

1. Hey that sounds interesting, can you post it at vault after it has run in your paper?
2. I think you will find that the average person does not understand how their stock options work (this is very common in private companies and less so in public).
Sorry its not more helpful
