A clarification: when you say you're a "Web designer", you mean that you do front-end design and no back-end (i.e., database) programming? Also, would you be doing any training in the new position you're interviewing for? |

I am a technical recruiter in Boston, where the market is surely more marketable than Ohio. Depending upon your years of experience and proficiency of tools, you may only be worth $30K. My advice is that if you want to increase your salary, either learn a new skill (Java is pretty hot right now) or move to a city with a better market.
