Let me answer you since the freaks seem to be out in full force today ...
Mostly it's business casual, but some of the firms think they're so grooooovy that folks wear black because they want everyone to know they're "New Yawk Chic".
My suggestion is to take a look at what the who interviewd you was wearing, and try to follow that. If taht isn't an option don't be afraid to be overdressed the first day. Better over than under!
