I think you'd really enjoy this kind of career path. I'm not sure if there are programs specifically for web usability but there are several for human factors & ergonomics. Good luck! |

I would start with - what are the local universities, tech universities, and accredited design colleges? Where am I willing to relocate to? Then research on all those schools and whether they have a major that is information/interaction/interface design focused. There are many out there.
Another main question would be - what level of education do I want? A design school offers the highest level of courses and teaching - but it all comes down to the professors. Get names and research on the course and their methodology.
Last note: Human Factors and ergonomics _is not_ web usability. You will not be hired in the New Media industry with that degree w/ practical experience.
