In Reply To: It's called being in stealth mode, as in we want to do a lot fast before we start blabbering about incomplete management teams and semi-developed business plans and models in national magazines, as seems to be the plan these days. As for why we don't give our URL: there is something called a "who is" search on networksolutions.com that tells you the address or phone number of the registrant of URLs. One of the ways we've learned about our competition is by literally going to visit them as pizza guys giving away free pies as a promotion for a newly opened store, ConEd guys, etc. In summary, if there's an entrepreneur in residence somewhere in California that is even remotely thinking of doing something even remotely resembling what we will be doing, we know about them. On the other hand, no one who hasn't signed our NDA even knows we exist, and they won't until we've assembled enough deals to prove ourselves. At such time, I would be happy to show you our URL. As for "impressing people," well, the 87 Harvard MBAs / 26 Wharton MBAs / 18 Columbia MBAs who've forwarded their resumes to us in consideration seem to be impressed enough to take a flight up here to meet with us. Oh, yeah, we have some M&A VPs / MD types as well. And a few VPs of Corp Development at some Fortune 100 co.'s. But, hey, we can't be all things to all people, you know? Obviously we are not impressive enough for suave, sophisticated, sexy guys such as yourself. But maby one day, if we keep trying, maybe we'll finally impress you. As a matter of fact, that's our goal from now on. To eventually impress you. Our timeline is by the beginning of next summer. Wish us luck.
Message: I can't say I care too much for the back and forth, although I do have to ask why you posted something with such language so many times? Who was your audience. I was reading your last post about how these Harvard, Wharton etc MBAs are foaming at the mouth and I must say that all the Columbia, Harvard, Wharton MBA s I am forced to work with are over paid, under productive useless beings whose salaries could pay for two hard working, get-things-done people. I have been fully disgusted with how stupid and impractical these guys are. I have read business plans reasearched and endorsed by Harvard BS graduates and been told that obviosly this idea is well thought out--Really sharp HBS grads came up with it. Three months later, their site is down for good.
