What is reasonable equity for a leadership role (CFO & Strategic Bsns. Development in my case) for a 5 month old internet startup with a great business plan and business model, a good founding team and board, a core employee group, a working (but not truly active, i.e.: early stage) ecommerce site, and no "big money" capital invested. My background: management experience, have run small entrepreneurial consulting practice, significant corporate finance experience with major multinational bank & involvement in capital markets (though no direct IPO experience), very good educational background including MBA. I am being courted by several such firms and am trying to gauge my real worth in terms of equity percentage. Thanks.
