In a very surprising move, Petopia yesterday announced that it was laying off 60% of its workforce. It seems the company is desperately trying to secure more funding or arranget to be bought out. I'll be SO glad when some of the places finally go outta business. I mean, I feel bad because somebody put a lot of work into it but the economy can NOT support 4 online petstores!! It just isn't going to happen. I guess, in a way, this is a good sign because a lot of the lesser companies will be weeded out. Does anyone even USE any of the online petstores? I have a cat but i just go to the stupid store!! This seems to be the main problem with b-to-c. most people still want to go to the store rather than have it delievered.
