I graduated last year with an MA in Public Policy and worked with a non-profit organization right after graduation. However, I was mostly involved in developing internet strategies for various partner organization, as well as building several websites as well. I find this line of work very rewarding, and I would like to work with Internet consulting firms such as Scient, Sapient, or Agency.com.
While I am confident that the skills I've acquired through my studies and my professional work transcends non-profit work and is equally beneficial in the business world, I am at a loss as to how to begin my job application. For instance, they say that networking is highly crucial, but I don't know anyone who works in places like Scient.
I am mostly interested in strategy positions, but I was told that you must have an MBA to be considered.
I appreciate any help that you might have, of if anyone can share any similar experience in the past.
