In Reply To: I interviewed at the Jan. 30th hiring event for Manufacturing Techs. at Rio Rancho, NM for Fab11X. I was contacted promptly later the same week and informed that I was moving on in the process. At that time I was told that I would be contacted with offer info in 2-3 weeks. It has been 4+ weeks and I am getting "keep waiting" from both Intel and recruiting firm. Anybody from this event get an offer yet or have further info on the delay??
Message: for a Process Engineer position (in NM) and was told two weeks later that they were preparing an offer package. I didn't hear anything more for two weeks and then finally I e-mailed the hiring manager to get an update on the offer. One week later he responded saying that the offer had to be approved by a VP and all positions were on hold until they got an accurate headcount. He also said that he had no idea on the timing of the approval which made the whole situation very vague and didn't leave me with alot of confidence that I would ever see an offer. I believe this delay is related to the poor earnings announcements over the past two quarters. Intel is losing market share to AMD and this might be why alot of the hiring is frozen, but that is just my own personal speculation. Good luck with your job search
