BANGALORE: Chipmaker Intel's Indian unit said on Wednesday it was sticking to its plan to hire 200 more engineers for its software centre this year despite 4,000 job cuts announced by its parent.

If 200 Indians can do the work of 4000 americans, they deserve the jobs !!!!!
btw: my understanding - no lay-offs at Intel (less jobs through turnover, retire, etc).
