In the short run some "incubators" will have cash problems similar to their investments. Many of these recent instant-incubators are under funded (a poor man's VC firm).
These outfits are part Consulting firm and part Private Equity firm (the mix varies). Even for the well capitalized ones, its like any business, most fail. They fail for many reasons beyond the portfolio choices.
PE is a difficult long term biz and rarely a straight line, so it may take a while to see how that side fairs.
