There are no jobs in the IT field anymore unless you have at least a masters degree and several years of experience in all the current technologies: C++, XML, Java, SQL, COM, Oracle, JSP, etc. Even there you have hundreds of people competing for the same very few positions. Companies are going out of business every day. First the dotcoms, then the midsize companies, and now the big guys like Cisco, Nortel, Lucent, and Sun are being hit. This is a dead industry and will be for at least two years. If you are young enough I suggest you go to law school; bankruptcy law is booming. |
