In Reply To: I have always wished to learn more about technology and its application to business. Ultimately I would like to start my own consulting business down the line. For right now, however, I would like to explore opportunities in e-commerce. Beyond that I am not sure of the specifics (sorry for the "What Color is My Parachute" answer -- but I really don't fully know what to expect and thus were my skills would be most applicable.
Message: you might find it difficult to be an MIS manager. Too often people think that an MIS graduate degree immediately qualifies them to be an MIS manager. It doesn't. Because unless you are lucky enough to have a techie on your staff who is also a good communicator, you won't really understand what your techies are doing. You'll just be the pointy-haired boss in Dilbert.
