I'm currently an undergrad and debating whether to switch majors into a BA or BS program (I've decided after having taken a number of CIS courses which I enjoyed and recieved very high grades in). The courses in the computer science BA are essentially the same as the BS(except the CIS BS has 1 or 2 hardware based engineering courses). The problem is I'm concerned about the other core, not CIS ,but required for the major to get the BS which will mean it will take me a total of 5 years to finish whereas I could receive the BA in 4 (since I have all the core for a BA already out of the way). Wondering if anyone has any insight on salary differences, how BAs are viewed in the job market versus BSs, etc.
