In Reply To: If you're serious you should apply to the BB firms. UK shop will give you no platform into Asia. Language/cultural issues are over-exaggerated. I've worked there and know hoards of people who go with little/no language skills and within 2 years are conversant in business Korean. One more other thing - gotta think about conscription, unless you hold a non-K passport. Myself, I'm thinking of going back to K for 1 or 2 years and am lucky enough to be able to do so. Hours are probably longer, more pitching but all those eepunees!!! First thing you should do however is get out of that UK shop. If you're good then we should network.
Message: Hi, I wanna start my career in IB. As you know, IB market in Korea is not that big to hire some undergrads. Is it possible to get a job in Korea? Now I am in the USA as an exchange student. I can communicate well in English but it's not like native English speakers. I heard a legend that only Korean-American can get a job because of English problem. thanks,
