Message: I am interviewing for an M&A Associate position in HK with Chase. I know they are not BB, but how are their people and reputation in Asia (league tables, etc.) I assume they are major players in PE/VC & Lev. Fin., Synd. Fin. Several Questions for Y'all: 1) What is the "standard" pay package for an Associate (5 years in Corp. Dev. for major US Fin. Institutions, No MBA, Decent State School) Here's what I've been hearing. Base: $80K (I'm currently at $100K) Sign: $30K Stub: $30K Housing Allow: $4,000/month What are some other perks/negotiable's I'm missing (flybacks?). 2) Does Chase pay market or above market for their people (I know it depends on candidate's exp & firm needs, but rough estimate) 3) What kind of hours are average (70, 80, 100, 100+?) 4) What are 1st year Associates making in HK at GS, MSDW, ML, JPM, DBAB, DLJ, Lehman, etc. 4) Anything I'm missing?
