I was recently asked by an ASM to blatantly lie to a customer. There was a situation where a customer bought a trailor and we did not have the correct title to match the VIN # for the trailor. I told my ASM of the situation and he said to give it to them anyway, they probably wouldn't notice. After that, I told him that I had already explained everything to the customer as they were getting very impatient as to why it was taking so long. Of course, the ASM didn't want to deal with the customer and told me to assure the customer that the DMV will call us to clear it up. It was completely obvious that he didn't want to do his job, merely have his peons do what his doesn't have the balls to. This isn't my first negative experience with HD, I have worked here for 4 years as a college student. I just quit today and I feel great about it. The only reason I stayed was the fact that their tuition reimbursement program is pretty awesome. And the HR's complain of high turnover, HA just ask any associate and they'll to you why.
