In Reply To: Guys-- When I posted a few days ago it wasn't to start an actuarial love-fest. I've been mistaken for an actuary, so I feel your pain. As a shareholder, I'm deeply concerned about the leadership at Hewitt. The only person on the team who has been part of a high growth, high value company is the new CFO. Your leaders have no clue how to build a valuable business...not a clue. When a company is not an exciting investment, it's usually not an exciting place to work. Seems to be the case in Tedville. Morale will continue to spiral down until Dale and friends are replaced..they don't know what to do. Sadly, even more layoffs are needed of very senior people...look at the titles of the senior execs for god's sake...do you know what they do? Do they? I'm hoping now that someone acquires HEW, because you gotta change the poeple, or change the people, and the current people aint gonna change.
Message: you will never be mistaken for an actuary. And you aren't very effective as a shareholder wanting to see change either if you think posting here will do any good. The whole lot of regular posters here don't own squat among them. They delude themselves if they think that any of the rants will somehow hurt or help Hewitt Associates or wake up investors into some kind of revolt against management. They keep predicting a mass exodus but most of them either can't let go, or can't leave in the first place. The only way to effect change is to take meaningful action. Either do the things you can on the job to improve things or vote the things you can to change leadership or both. Everything else is just a waste. Sabotaging the company from within is self-defeating; waiting for a savior is misplaced hope; complaining about things here is a waste of space (which another poster pointed out is redundant in the case of The Vault)
