or you may be the one getting sued. It's one thing to share gossip at work, another to post it on a public message board. If it turns out not to be true, but someone can point to the public rumor as being harmful to their financial interests, they DO have legal recourse against the original public poster. Identities may be anonymous to the readers, but they are NOT anonymous to The Vault. And if The Vault has reason to believe that the rumor is unsubstantiated, or COULD or SHOULD have known, then they could be considered liable as well. Do you really think they'd withhold your identity in that case? If a post disappears or is "censored", it probaby is not Hewitt's doing, but rather sensible self-preservation on The Vault's part. It would not be surprising to see some clamping down on anonymous ID's.
