In Reply To: If we recognize that it is merely b!tching (we know that every company has faults) there is no harm in airing dirty laundry here while taking a more professional approach in the workplace. I'm certainly no field mouse at work and I let people know when I think an initiative or idea is bad... I just present it with a business case and in a work-friendly format. That doesn't mean that it's not fun to come out here and say what I'm thinking when I hear the stuff at work. Example: At work - "I think that putting resources on the phones who haven't had full CS training and who have a host of other responsibilities to attend to is not a good idea. We could cost the company money by failing to meet timely and final closeout goals and decreasing the quality of our calls." On the Vault - "What a crock of horse crap! Who the hell thought this was a good idea and why haven't we fired them out of a cannon?!?!" See... I'm still working to change ideas at work but I'm also enjoying the freedom of expressing myself in a non-work-appropriate format.
Message: is the next step, e.g.: "I think that putting resources on the phones who haven't had full CS training and who have a host of other responsibilities to attend to is not a good idea. We could cost the company money by failing to meet timely and final closeout goals and decreasing the quality of our calls." INSTEAD, WHAT I WANT TO TRY IS ___________ but, if it's easier for you to come on here and be a comic book hero in your own mind, go nuts.
