What is interesting is that there is a lot of truth that rings true in what people say on this site. We are/were all SWANS, makes us family, right? It is like a disfunctional family reunion.
Very few people stand up for what they truly believe in. Sometimes they have to find courage or are searching for what they really believe. No harm there.
Dale, John, Larry and others seem to have worked really hard to achieve the roles they are in. Yes they are a target because they are trying to lead the organization. What is sad is that it seems there is a lot of passion that is channeled in the wrong direction at your firm and others. That discontent is stemming from decisions made and the culture. A culture that doesn't treat everyone with the same amount of respect and dignity which the clients end up feeling.
When is the last time you all met a frustrated Starbucks ee? Their culture seems to treat the front line employee with respect and dignity and it is translated to the customer. Their posting board is almost non-existent. Think of the customer contact these employees get day in and day out. Is HA treating the implementation teams and CSA's the same as client managers or top managers with no client contact (whatever these roles are now called ). Client or no client contact do people feel fair treatment? Doesn't sound like it.
Even long ago when substandard raises were given unless you worked greater than 50 hours felt wrong. Wrong not because people didn't want to work the hours. Rather wrong because it was a cultural shift that only demotivated the workforce (work patterns caused inconsistent work flow and sometimes 50 hrs was not necessary). But you bet the time-card read every submission at least 50 hours. People read the WSJ and drank coffee just to fill face time. Do you all have to pay for coffee too? That would be a bummer.
HA is an interesting business case. For some being there seems like it is rotting their soul . . .take a risk put your passion somewhere else. Or take a risk and talk to one of the top execs. They do listen (and do take action). . .but when they don't take action on something you believe in strongly, leave.
