The quality is not there. The only difference is that other firms that outsource work to India know that; all they care about is the cheap labor. Sort of like buying clothes at Walmart; you know it's crap, but you choose to buy it because it's cheap. To say that the quality of clothing bought at Walmart, like the quality of labor in India, is good and competitive is pure fiction. Management tells themselves that to justify this short-sighted "silver bullet" cost-cutting solution.
If India labor is so good, why don't we have Indian executives manage Hewitt? What value do our current leaaders have that an Indian executive would lack? Other than paying the Indian executive 1/5 of prevailing US executive pay, I don't see any other positives. Although, as a current shareholder of Hewitt, 1/5 of executive pay is hard to pass up. |

You need not to worry about we Indians. We know that we are good, In fact we are the Best and we have proved this a lot of times.
