Is this the role that CSAs are filling in the new MPHRO? You can go to the Hewitt web site and look at the job description: http://was4.hewitt.com/hewitt/careers/subcareers/jobsearch_frameset.jsp
HR Specialist
300109
The HR Specialist role is intended to be an extension of a client's Human Resources department through a centralized call center. The scope of Multi Process HRO services includes workforce administration, workforce relations, compensation, learning and development, payroll, time and labor, relocation, and recruiting and staffing.
HR Specialists will spend the majority (approximately 70%-85%) of their time directly servicing the client via incoming phone calls; their employees, managers, HR Business Professionals/Generalists, and various third party contracts. HR Specialists will spend time working through various HR issues such as leave administration, recruiting, death processing, compensation (salary administration), reporting, and exit interviews. Additional activities will include employee case management, resolving escalated issues, taking overflow calls, or compiling reports for client HR Business Professionals. The remaining amount of their time may be spent leveraging their skills as a team resource and partnering with client team management to improve service delivery.
As a resource, the HR Specialist may serve as a team expert in one or more of the following areas: client knowledge, client HR knowledge, high quality customer service, third party vendor processing and/or internal processing on the team. The HR Specialist will share their knowledge among the team through conducting client specific training where appropriate.
As a partner with team management, the HR Specialist will identify and recommend improvements that will positively impact the efficiency and quality of service delivery. These improvements can include potential processes that can be automated or streamlined, providing suggestions for improving team measures, and on-line reference tools. HR Specialists will support customer service staff during periods of high employee/manager call volume, as well as support the HR Administration team during periods of high transaction volume.
Some HR Specialists may focus on Leaves Administration. The Leaves HR Specialist will provide education regarding leaves processes and policies to employees as well as managers. The Specialist will also be responsible for tracking the leave and ensuring proper communication occurs throughout the duration of the leave with the employee, HRIS/Payroll as well as the employee's manager. |

The HRS role is just that...a "fancy" name for a CSA who deals with more of HR type calls (leaves, tuition, payroll etc)...you are still on the phone all dang day and get coached. (until that is gone)
