Has anyone else heard this Aleister Crowley fortune cookie roll out of a manager's Aramark hole? I reached my end when I actually heard a CSA say this. I challenged him to tell me what it meant? It's completely without meaning. It's just lazy double-talk to avoid actual communication. "It is what it is." |

Let's not give HA credit for that one.
That phrase can be used properly if what you're trying to say, is:
-This situation isn't what any of us want, but
- Given that fact
- Let's just deal with it and figure out a plan.
For example,
I miss the free lunch and the culture that I signed up for, but it is what it is, so I need to just decide if I'm going to stay or leave.
Note to Pectopah:
Can you do a Hewitt-specific version of "Should I stay or should I go now?"
