Dale said that he would hold himself and executive leadership "accountable" for the low engagement score. However, read The Source posting a little more carefully. The posting still has the overall tone of "engagement is low, and it's all your fault - we did our part". And, near the end, he practically shifts the blame to the other executives. He may have been a good leader at one time (we'll give him the benefit of the doubt...for now), but he's extremely ineffective now. The other executives are even more worthless. As the engagement score showed, more than 2/3rds of us are either actively looking for other jobs, or are just working the minimal amount to keep from getting fired (until we can figure out our next move). As for looking for new work, I don't think most of us are looking to flee to the first job offer that comes along; I think we're trying to be more careful about not rushing into another "Hewitt" situation. And, maybe some of us have this morbid curiousity to see how this year plays out - clearly the firm will be acquired. It's just a question of who (I'm leaning towards Accenture - I think IBM is out of the picture for now). If we spend our down time at home venting this board, so be it. It's cathartic; it helps me cope with working at Hewitt. |

Everyone is out looking. I mean if they're not, theres something wrong. I heard two of our coaches in 2op talking and they've had it. They were saying how hard they were trying to find something else. I felt bad for them they were so bummed out. They said they think one of their other coaches was looking into what it takes to go union. I almost followed them to hear more. It is really bad here with being so understaffed.
I just haven't had to job hunt. This is my first job and it gets worse and worse.
