cause they are too busy playing ping pong and watching cricket. The quality is brutal, and anyone who has worked with our office in India over the past 2 years knows it to be true.
The people who are saying quality is high in India are the same ones who have been whispering sweet nothings into Dale's ear that low engagement in the US won't threaten the company's bottom line. |

The previous poster made a good point. India is doing better at TBA setup than we did when we were first learning it.
In the mid-90's I saw (and made some) of the worst mistakes you could ever imagine impacting hundreds-of-thousands of participants.
Worst case they are 'on par' with where we were then, but they have the advantage of having more experienced folks here reviewing their work on the back end and fixing things before they go live.
It doesn't make it a painless transition, but I have every confidence they will get up to speed. I've already seen it in my SCAs who have been here about a year. They are 'getting it' now.
Personally I think we're going in the right direction. I'd prefer we kept all these jobs in the states, but the IBMs of the world have forced our hands by reducing their cost structure so much that it's the only way we can compete. If we can save enough money there, it will hopefully allow us to continue having good paying jobs here.
Face it folks, this is the direction our country is going. In 20 years, you will be a senior manager who can manage effectively in a global economy, or you will be mowing lawns.
