In Reply To: make a decent argument, but refrain from lying. I have access to data for over 700 people in one of the CSGs and NO ONE worked 80 hours per week. We had one person who hit that one week in October, but to act like you work 80 hours regularly is a load of crap. Refrain from exaggerations and your arguments might hold some water. And "Management worked no longer than 40 hours a week" is an even bigger load of crap. EVERY team in my CSG had the managers working more than the non-managers on average. I'd love to see a manager who can "micromanage the hell out" of their team while their team works 80 and they work "no longer" than 40. Impossible. The only slack managers who manage at 40 hours a week are WAY hands off. either you work for a competiitor and are trying to stir up trouble, or you're a disgruntled poor performer trying to make it sound like youre not. i'm betting on the latter.
Message: In my experience as a CSPM I probably put in ~55 hours a week on average. Being in early and leaving late gives me a bit of an advantage in observing the times that some of MY management works. There's at least one UM on my team that has no home access and is unlikely to have honestly worked even 40 hours a week in the last month. There's definitely a difference between time worked and time billed.
