Many of the former SysPM's are now band 5 LSAs and there is a shortage of talent, plus, the work activities the SysPMs used to do still (officially) need to be done. Do you really think they can follow through with layoffs of IDG roles without major consequences. I suppose AE has just finished, so technically, there may be a lull. But with new benefits clients and lots of people quitting it's hard to see how they can lay people off and get next years AE done.
Message: But Dale has to make those quarterly earnings targets, so layoffs will proceed despite the shortage of talent. He'll worry about next years AE when we get there. For now, we need to keep Hewitt's stock price artificially inflated.
