In Reply To: I agree with HEWHROlongtime. You have a degree from Rutgers. Don't waste it at Hewitt. All that you'll get is a bunch of experience working with decrepit proprietary systems. There isn't much that you can learn at Hewitt to make you more valuable. The systems are archaic, the politics a joke, the work is brain numbing and contrary to happyharpy's statement. There is no training (you're on your own), the first year raises are low, the salary is below market and the benefits below average. Run do not walk away from this place. I don't know what your degree is in but use it to get into a top company with a good future.
Message: You've worked too hard for your degree to piss it away at Hewitt. There are much better firms to work for than Hewitt. Even if you want to work in benefits consulting or benefits administration, there are far superior firms looking to hire quality talent. Hewitt is a dead-end, the work environment is too volatile and unstable for new hires, and the firm, as an independent company, may cease to exist by the end of the year. Employees are expendable at Hewitt; we're all being replaced by Indian workers. You can do much better than this place.
