In Reply To: I left Hewitt a few months ago after working there for 4 yrs and I feel free!! This is the worst company I have worked in the past 15 years! No respect for employees by Management & make you feel like a number! Also my past managers had very cold personalities (almost Stepford Wife Like). Working 4 new company now and it's nice to be treated like a human being again!
Message: I left 4 months ago and am absolutely thrilled with my decision. It's not just that my new job is more interesting, has better co-workers and pays 75% (yes) more -- the people at my new company actually CARE about me as an employee and I'm allowed to care about my staff as well. At Hew, when I tried to defend my staff against various lies, HR told me that I should stay neutral. And when HR found the employee had done nothing wrong, there were no apologies offered!! And ex-workerbee is right, our managers (mine were senior managers) were drones. Hewitt always hired "nice" people, which meant mealy-mouthed, passionless and unchallenging. It's the reason so few people openly complain at Hewitt. And a reality check on AI payouts . . . most US companies had a very profitable year and have 100%+ bonus/AI payouts. My advice: join one of those companies where you'll be treated better and make more money. If Hewitt really has the potential that idiots like anonhewitt say it does, then you can re-join the company in 2 years when they're ready to fairly compensate their employees and when multi-millionaire Dale and his ilk have happily retired on the backs of the workers making $25K a year. Happy New Year -- I know I'll have one!!!
