Greetings! I graduate with a BA in Law and Psychology approximately 6 years ago. i have been really interested in pursuing a degree in nursing. Unfortunately, I have only been able to locate a two year program at my local community college. It seems odd that with my AA (from that college) and my BA that I couldn't go on or a bachelors in nursing. I have done some research it appears that I would have to go back for the two year degree regardless. does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge if this necessary?- Thanks! |

I have been researching the same exact thing and I have found that certain schools have accelerated bachelor of science in nursing programs. One of the programs near me has a program that runs May - May if you have another bachelor's degree already. There are many different pre-requisites for the program, though. I don't have a lot of sciences in my ungrad coursework so I have to take a few classes first. If you have sciences already, then you can go right in and be ready to take the RN exam in 13 months. I can't remember the exact site but I went on google and did a search for "Accelerated Nursing Programs" and they were listed by state. Good luck.
