In Reply To: I am currently on my way to law school, but was also accepted to Columbia for Post Bac. I applied not believing that I would be accepted and now I am confused on the right path for me. I have been out of school for two years and working in the legal field. I sincerely want to "help people" in my life, but am not sure the best path for me to do so. I will incur immense debt whichever path I take and that scares me...any info on Columbia post bac and which path I should take would be most helpful. Thanks in advance for any help you all provide. Best of luck to everyone!!
Message: You can "help people" from almost any professional field and you can be a money-grubbing social malcontent from any professional field as well. Look at the day-to-day interactions and activities and choose what you feel suits your intellectual and personal interests best. You'll be best suited to "help people" if you're in a career that excites your interests and passions on a day to day basis, as you'll be better at it. What you do from there is more a matter of personal orientation and social conscience than a given job description.
