I currently am entering the last year of an MBA/MS program in healthcare mgt/finance in Philadelphia...
By graduation..i will have three years experience as a research analyst/small DB administrator/SAS programmer for the fraud unit of philadelphia's biggest health insurer...
I am looking to move to the northern nj area..and work in downtown NYC...
now, i have read the virtual horror stories of healthcare insurance firms (and its the same where I work..but its the nature of the beast...)
but what are some of the BEST firms to work for if you are interested in
healthcare consulting
healthcare business analysis
i'm looking to concentrate in risk management or
market research or
health promotion programs research and development...
I would greatly appreciate any feedback on your experiences in working in these industries in NYC...
I'm looking for a firm that is not old line, promotes growth, and relatively low on the "good ole boy (GOB)" scale..if it is 'GOB' intensive..at least let them be competent...
i'm 25 years old, a female and a minority...and want to join a firm that TRULY adheres to diversity and new ideas...
