mds seeking mbas has recently become a commonplace phenomenon.
i graduated from yale '89, received my md from harvard in '93 and was in an internal medicine residency at johns hopkins for 3 years...
i decided practicinig hands on medicine wasn't exactly what i wanted in life (it took me 11 yrs to figure this out) and decided to pursue a more legal and business approach to medicine - i still wanted to be involved with health care but in these two arenas...
Currently, i am in my 2nd year in the combined JD/MBA program at UPenn. i've been talking to pharmaceutical companies like pfizer and merck and might possibly go into legal counsel for them.
